US Performances and EventsFebruary 13 & 14, 200833RD ANNIVERSARY GALA & NEW YORK PERFORMANCE SEASON The Other Side is unusual in every sense. It received its first sketches in New York while Lisbon's fabulous new Quorum Ballet was here for its U.S. debut performances in BDC's Downtown Dance Festival. A trio of choreographers -- Daniel Cardoso, Thaddeus Davis and Jonathan Hollander -- developed material collaboratively with five dancers from Quorum and BDC's own Sean Scantlebury. Alchemy was at work as these dancers with backgrounds as diverse as the choreographers who guided them fused magnificently to the music of Polar Levine. New York audiences were able to see the results on February 13-14 at the Tribeca PAC, two weeks after the Lisbon debut. |
