Emad Salem

EMAD SALEM
DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS

Emad Salem oversees Battery Dance Company’s international programs, monitoring and evaluation, and the cultural diplomacy toolkit. Emad’s previous experiences include advising and consulting NGO’s, multilateral organizations, and governments on public diplomacy, capacity development, education development, research methodologies, and strategic development. Emad holds a Masters, with a focus on Economic and Political Development, from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a Dual Bachelors in International Studies and Economics from American University.

Elena Ryabova

ELENA RYABOVA
DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR DOMESTIC PROGRAMS

Elena Ryabova, Deputy Director for Domestic Programs manages the Downtown Dance Festival, Battery Dance Company’s New York City Public Schools programs, and the Studio Share program. A graduate of the Central European University where she majored in Political Science and Economics, she brings to the Company over 10 years of non-profit experience in the United States, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. Elena has managed hundreds of multicultural exchange programs between the U.S. and Eurasia and implemented arts projects, including festivals and arts residencies, in the U.S. and across countries of the former Soviet Union.

Megan Finn

MEGHAN FINN
DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

Meghan Finn works as a freelance development consultant, event producer and grant writer.  She has served in this capacity for Battery Dance Company for the past two seasons.  Current and past clients include The Lower Manhattan Arts League, Soho Rep, The Civilians Theater Company, Elevator Repair Service, The Bushwick Starr, 3LD, Dance New Amsterdam as well as choreographers Maria Hassabi and luciana achugar.   She also works as an independent theater producer and director

 

REED RIDGELY
BOOKEEPER

Reed Ridgley serves as bookkeeper and has previously general managed many shows Off-Broadway.  Favorite projects include The Scottsboro Boys, Wig Out!, Beautiful Child, The Long Christmas Ride Home, Miracle Brothers and [title of show].  He is also currently the general maanger for Carrie at the Lucille Lortel.

 

STEPHANIE DUMBRELL
MARKETING INTERN

Stephanie is a recent graduate of New York University where she concentrated her studies on Politics and Spanish and Latin American Cultures. While in school, she served as the President of the university's Ballroom and Latin Dance Team and is currently an active member and competitor in the NY Chapter of the USA Ballroom Dance Association, assisting in the development, execution, and marketing of various events and competitions.

 

GABRIELLE ADKINS
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS INTERN

Gabrielle graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Politics. She has previously interned for The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, and has volunteered for the RAINN Online Rape Hotline for almost two years. Adkins is excited to be a new part of the Battery Dance Company team.
